Two Simple Rules That Can Make Losing Weight Automatic

Most adults today are overweight. And almost every one of us is always on the lookout for the next super diet that will once and for all help us to finally shed the pounds.

More and more of us are having problem with weight, and there seems to be a correlation to the number of methods to lose it. Although most of them are pretty good in helping you to lose weight, they can be complicated to understand, and difficult to follow.

I'd like to give you a couple of quick rules here that can take some of the guesswork out of what you should eat, so it will be easier for you to lose weight. While eating the right food is only one part of the puzzle, it's a huge part.

One potential killer of your future slim and sexy body is bad carbohydrates. Some diets recommend that you get rid of carbs completely, but although that has been proven effective, it is much easier said than done.

Believe it or not, some carbs are better than others. How can you tell the difference? Avoid anything processed. A quick and easy rule is to choose brown, if you have a choice. Brown usually means less processed.

Brown bread over white bread. Brown pasta over yellow pasta. Brown rice over white rice. This will go a long way in reducing your sugar load, as most white carbohydrates will be treated more like pure sugar by your body, which will obviously kill your weight loss efforts.

When choosing fats, choose solid, natural fats. Fats found in vegetables such as avocado's are good. Fats found in a bottle of oil are bad. Fats found in fish is good, fats found in french fries are bad. Just ask yourself, did this grow this way? If it did, then it's ok. If it didn't, and it was processed somehow try and avoid it.

While these rules are only a rough guide, they can go a long way in helping you choose the right foods, which can support a healthy body and lifestyle.
